Olivier DEBRÉ
Olivier Debré was one of the main artists of abstract art in the second half of the 20th century. He was part of various artistic groups, including those with Roberto Matta or Pierre Soulage. His works are today in the most important collections of contemporary art in Paris or New York.
The search for colour, form and their effect on us is Debré’s main theme. It is the emotions that his paintings evoke in us that are so highly appreciated. In this sense, he can be compared to Mark Rothko and his powerful monochromes.
