The dread hangs heavy in the air in the emptiness of place, I hear nothing but my breathing of a sudden epiphany, that I’m terribly alone. I get up to walk to my room, I feel something soft and tangly on the soles of my feet, it’s hair. I’m shocked to find that it’s longer than mine, as I reached to open my room door, my eyes were not prepared for what I was about to see. An emotionless face with unnaturally round eyes staring deep into mine, a knowing smile that has no words but heard, “I’ve been waiting for you.”
