Sam SZAFRAN
Sam Szafran is a French artist with Polish Jewish roots, has spent most of his life between Switzerland and Paris (where he had his main studio). He is basically a protagonist of his own style although in Paris he often met artists such as Yves Klein or Alberto Giacometti.
His style was underestimated for a long time, mainly because Szafran created works that could not be identified with any of the contemporary or timeless trends. Today, he is an internationally acclaimed artist whose paintings break records at auction. Szaffran is primarily associated with oneirism and depictions of the jungle that reigned in his studio.
